This area of Spain has an average of 320 days of sunshine each year and as its one of the driest regions of Spain, it makes a great holiday in the winter aswell as the summer.
Just a short car ride away is the famous La Manga Club which is home to championship golf courses aswell as being home to the football grounds where many english teams come during their breaks. The Club also offers tennis, spa facilities and many other activities.
Within a short drive there are a vast selection of shops and restaurants. The restaurants cater for all tastes with national and international cuisine at very good prices.
Mar De Cristal sits on the coast of the Mar Menor which enjoys water temperatures of on average 30c in the summer months. This makes it ideal for all water sports. Whether you want a relaxing break by the beach or an action packed holiday, this area can offer you either.
Mar de Cristal is an up and coming village set on the South East coast of Spain on the Costa Calida. This region offers one of the driest regions in Spain so you should expect warm sunny days in the winter aswell as the summer.
This region is also famous for the Mar Menor which is home to The Black Mud. This is said to have therapeutic qualities and can help in the treatment of rheumatism, arhritis and many other ailments. The Mar Menor also enjoys average water temperatures of 30c in the summer months.
This region of Spain is not as built up as many of the costas therefore retaining a more spanish feel.
The village of Mar de Cristal is a great holiday destination to chill out. There are a selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance. If you travel a little further afield you are spoilt for choice with national and international restaurants which offer cuisine at very reasonable prices.
This flat area makes and ideal place to cycle and bike hire is available in the village. The village is also along the Mar Menor coast which offers warm and shallow waters ideal for watersports. There is a port in the village and this also offers a small selection of restaurants.
Just a short drive away there are several villages which offer daily markets which sell a good selection of fruit & vegetables, meat, fish, household goods and much more. There are also schools for watersports including canooing, scuba diving and sailing. The village also has tennis courts for your enjoyment.
