Nearby is the famous La Manga Club which is host to championship golf courses, aswell as tennis courts, spa facilities and a vast range of other activities. It also has a good selection of bars and restaurants and the facilities here are open all year round to the public.
This region has on average 320 days of sunshine each year. With the lowest amount of rainfall it is an ideal place for holidays in both summer and winter.
The village is located on the edge of the famous Mar Menor which offers a whole host of water sports to suit anyone from novice to expert. The Mar Menor is also famous for The Black Mud which is said to releive pain from rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
The water temperature of the Mar Menor in summer reaches 30c and so is a good spot for families as the Mar Menor also benefits from shallow waters.
Playa Honda is an up and coming village with a selection of shops, restaurants and a supermarket.
Just a short car ride away is the world famous La Manga Club which offers championship golf courses aswell as tennis, spa facilities and a wide selection of bars and restaurants to sample.
The Mar Menor enables you to try your hand at many water sports including scuba diving, wind surfing and water skiing to name but a few. The land around the Mar Menor is relatively flat which makes it ideal for walking and cycling and bikes can be hired nearby.
The nearby villages have markets of varying days of the week and these provide a large selection of fruit & vegetables, meat, fish, household items and many other products.
Just a short car ride away there are many more shops and restaurants which offer national and international cuisine at very reasonable prices.
